Project 1 COLLAGE & DIGITAL IMAGING [20%]

PART 1A: Physical Collage (5 marks) Week 1 -5


The first assignment project 1 is collage design that come into two part exercise, one physical and one digital. The aim is to develop a theme or idea with layers of images with design principle.

This is the initial composition that I attempted to express my love of food.

This is second attempted that I decided to move the word sentences to the middle part of collage as well as putting the knife behind it and food in between to make it more alive.

In the end I decide to use different elements completely as I did not like the white background, instead I replaced it with a red one and put 6 different word sentences that is related to food as well as settling on the food be circles shapes. This is the collage that I decided to submit.

PART 1B: Photo Manipulation (Hearst Mansion)

This part of project 1B is digital imaging exercises that is broke into two part exercise that is photo manipulation and recoloring black & white.
